Mediation
My fees are always negotiable according to need. However, as a guide, the following fees generally apply (excluding venue and facilities costs):
1. Day Fees:
Day fees assume a seven hour mediation day (usually 10 am to 5 pm) and two parties. The fees stated are the total charge and are usually shared equally among the parties. For each additional party add £500 to the total fee. For International mediations an additional charge may be made for travel time.
Claim value up to £100,000: £1,500 - £2,000 per day (includes 3 hours preparation and travel time).
Claim value up to £1 million: £2,000 - £3,000 per day (includes 5 hours preparation and travel time).
Claim value over £1 million: £3,000 - £4,000 per day (includes 6 hours preparation and travel time).
Note: Fees are total charge and are usually shared equally among the parties. For international mediations a charge may be made for travel time.
2. Time Charge:
Time spent over seven hours will be charged at one tenth of the day rate and at a minimum of £150 per hour.3. Expenses:
Travel, accommodation and other similar expenses will be charged at net cost.4. Payment:
Mediation fees are due for payment seven days before the mediation. Additional charges for expenses and extra time shall be paid within fourteen days of the date of invoice.5. Cancellation Charges:
If cancellation or postponement occur seven or more days before the mediation date, no fee will be due.If cancellation occurs less than seven days before the set date, the full fee will be due.
If the mediation is postponed and takes place on a later date, 50% of the fee will be due, plus the full fee for the revised date.
6. Co-Mediation:
Fees for co-mediation of multi-party disputes are available on request.
Note: It is often convenient to book me through The Clerksroom, who can also provide accommodation for the mediation and organise the facilities. Different charges may apply.
Adjudication and Early Neutral Evaluation
I am currently able to offer extremely competitive rates for adjudication and ENE work.
1. Time Charge:
Fees are charged at an hourly rate of £75, including travel time.2. Expenses:
Travel, accommodation and other similar expenses will be charged at net cost.3. Payment:
Adjudication and Evaluation fees are due for payment within 14 days of the date of invoice following publication of my decision or evaluation. I reserve the right to require payment before publication.General

I am not currently VAT registered so no VAT will appear on my bills.2. Professional Indemnity Insurance:
A copy of the current Professional Liability Insurance (AXA Insurance UK Plc) is available upon request.3. Complaints Procedure:
In the event of a complaint it shall be raised initially with me direct and then, in the absence of resolution, referred to the Civil Mediation Council's Complaints Resolution Service (Tel: 020 7636 4422).
